Chocolate Flavored Ghee
One of our most popular flavored ghees, chocolate, is a decadent dessert ghee. We use local honey to add just the right amount of sweetness to small-batch blends of ghee and cacao. Together, these ingredients provide more antioxidants, vitamins and minerals than any of these ingredients do on their own. And it’s delicious with fruit, on toast, or blended into drinks!
Smoothie Recipe: Almond Butter Cup
- 1 banana, cut into chunks — frozen or unfrozen
- 2 Tbsp almond butter
- 1 cup milk of your choice (cow, almond, coconut, etc.)
- 1 Tbsp Chocolate Ghee
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp chia seeds
Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass and serve!
Maple Flavored Ghee
This sweet seasonal flavored ghee is crafted in small batches with New England maple cream. Maple cream adds zinc, magnesium, and even more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to ghee. Try it on pancakes or toast or blended with coffee or golden milk.
Rosemary Garlic Flavored Ghee
Ahh, the bounty of late summer: rosemary and garlic. These aromatic ingredients do so much to enhance the flavor of sautéed, grilled and roasted foods all autumn and winter long! We infuse our ghee with Western Mass-grown rosemary and garlic, which makes this ghee fragrant, flavorful and supportive of digestion and immunity! We love it with bread, potatoes and grains, as a cooking oil for savory foods, and even dolloped over a piece of meat or fish just off the grill.
Turmeric Spiced Ghee
Our golden Turmeric Spiced Ghee is infused with herbs and spices known to promote digestion and assimilation of nutrients. This ghee is infused with organic ginger, turmeric and ashwagandha grown locally in Western Mass. Turmeric is rich with curcumin compounds, which are anti-inflammatory. Try it in our Turmeric Latte recipe, or our Jeera Rice recipe, below!
Jeera Rice with Turmeric Ghee
- 1 cup white basmati rice
- ½ cup water
- 1 Tbsp Turmeric Spiced Ghee
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
Melt ghee in a small saucepan. Add cumin seeds and fry on medium heat for one minute, or until the fragrance of the seeds fills the air. Rinse rice and add to the saucepan, stirring constantly for 2-4 minutes to evenly coat the rice with ghee. Stir in water and bring to a boil, then turn heat to low and simmer 20 minutes. Serve hot and add an extra dollop of ghee. Jeera rice can be enjoyed with Indian curries and dahls.
